York University in partnership with Economic Development North Simcoe has launched a CEWIL-funded Work-Integrated Learning opportunity which is open for college/university students to receive a scholarship* to attend York U’s UNSDG Renewable Energies & Agricultural Learning Training online from July 14 to August 20 2021. Please register via email to kalls@yorku.ca by July 10 2021.
*The scholarship includes a stipend of $1,200 per student plus $400 for Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Please note that professional training will consist of 60 hours of work-integrated learning online and if possible in-person mentoring with industry experts.
Complimentary course on Climate Solutions
A new complimentary online micro-credential course on Climate Solutions is open to anyone living in North Simcoe (Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay and Tiny) interested on Climate Solutions and the design of a Climate Solutions Park. This is in partnership with Economic Development North Simcoe and York University. The course registration portal is available here.
