Shopping locally, supporting small businesses ‘more important now than ever’ - Archived

Businesses and organizations across north Simcoe are urging residents to invest in their communities to help the local economy rebound from the shutdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It is always important that people shop locally, but it is crucial right now,” said Debbie Levy, a Penetanguishene councillor and owner of The Reading Room bookstore.

“For those of us small businesses who have made it through what I hope is the worst of the shutdown, it is important the community supports us.” []
