EDCNS seeks proposals from qualified and experienced accounting professionals or firms to provide comprehensive accounting services. As a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting economic activity in the municipalities of Midland, Penetanguishene, Tay and Tiny, we recognize the importance of sound financial management to fulfill our commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship of resources.
Scope of Services: The selected accounting professional or firm will be responsible for the following key services:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for presentation to our board of directors and external stakeholders.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements for nonprofit organizations.
Proposal Submission: Interested accounting professionals or firms are invited to submit a detailed proposal outlining their qualifications, experience, and approach to providing the specified services. The proposal should include the following:
- Overview of the Firm/Individual: Provide information about your firm or individual background, including relevant experience with nonprofit organizations.
- Scope of Work: Clearly outline how you plan to address the specified scope of services, including any additional value-added services you can offer.
- Qualifications: Highlight the qualifications, certifications, and expertise of the individuals directly involved in providing services to EDCNS.
- References: Provide at least three references from current or past clients, preferably from nonprofit organizations.
- Fee Structure: Present a detailed fee structure, including any potential additional costs or fees that may arise during the engagement.
Timeline: The deadline for submitting proposals is January 30, 2024. The selected accounting professional or firm will be notified by February 19, 2024, with the anticipated start date for services commencing at the EDCNS AGM in May 2024.
