Finding ways to maximize the economic potential of the waterfront is a high priority for the Town of Penetanguishene in 2021.

The municipality has hired Sajecki Planning and is set to begin work on a secondary plan for the town dock early next year.

“The town dock has so much potential and we hope, as we work through this study, that that potential will be realized,” said Ed Sajecki, who presented a project outline to council on Dec. 9 alongside David Sajecki and Dylan Dewsbury.

A secondary plan will lay the foundation for a new town dock and waterfront for all seasons. Its goal is to celebrate the town’s unique history and foster linkages to the downtown and nearby Rotary Champlain Wendat Park. []
