Industrial Filter Manufacturing, a Penetanguishene company that makes specialty and custom liquid filtration bags, has retooled its operations to begin producing masks.

The business, located on the corner of Robert Street and Fuller Avenue, is doing its part to help fill the need for more medical supplies amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Owner Dan Williams reached out to an equipment supplier to quickly retool IFM’s operations.

“The material we have access to is of the grade that is comparable to what is used in other masks in hospital settings,” said IFM president Kyle Naylor, adding he expects the facility to be able to produce thousands of masks a day. []
