The Town of Penetanguishene is looking at any and all options available to the municipality to help local businesses recover from the impact of the COVID-19 economic shutdown.

A business recovery task force will be created to develop a plan to support businesses and help the local economy recover.

“We are at the very beginning of understanding how our businesses are going to be impacted over the short and long term,” said Andrea Betty, director of planning and community development.

“We need to talk to our business community to know what their needs are. Hearing back from our community will help guide whatever changes council may want to consider.” […]
