Penetanguishene hosting hybrid Winterama festival on Family Day weekend

The 74th annual Winterama, slated for February 18-20, will be a hybrid event offering a variety of virtual and in-person activities. The popular event — the longest-running winter carnival in Ontario — will have a full slate of events for all ages.

Virtual trivia with Kevin Cascagnette will be back, along with virtual performances by Dylan Lock, Jessica Lajner and Emma Reynolds. A virtual magic show with Ben Train has also been added to the schedule. There will also be a number of in-person events, including an escape challenge, cardboard toboggan races, ice fishing, crokicurl, ice sculpture carvings and a poker run.
