Georgian Bay General Hospital will begin rescheduling elective surgeries and diagnostic imaging procedures the week of June 15, according to Dr. Vikram Ralhan.

Ralhan, GBGH’s chief of staff and head of the hospital’s oversight committee, has spent the last month working out the details of restarting surgeries and procedures amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’ve worked out a plan with regards to how patients are going to move through the hospital, how they are going to recover, and whether they are going to stay in hospital post-procedure or get to go home, along with a number of other considerations,” he said. []
