‘MCC is alive and well’: Midland Cultural Centre preparing for eventual reopening - Archived

It has been a “long and arduous year” for staff at the Midland Cultural Centre, but they’ve persevered and are beginning preparations for an eventual reopening.

“The MCC is alive and well and waiting for the opportunity to welcome back friends and supporters,” said Jared Jylha, promotions and marketing co-ordinator for the facility.

Performing arts venues such as the MCC are among those hit hardest during the COVID-19 pandemic. Stringent health and safety restrictions have prohibited large gatherings, which makes it impossible for theatres and events centres to operate.[]
