Midland, June 11th, 2020 – In response to the unprecedented coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) the Huronia Community Foundation created the COVID-19 Community Response Fund. Through the generosity of the North Simcoe community, Huronia Community Foundation is pleased to announce that 9 local charities and or organizations will be receiving funding to assist them in their continued efforts to support our most vulnerable citizens.
The following recipients will receive micro-grants from the Huronia Community Foundation of between $800 and $1,375.00 which will support food security, youth and senior programs, health care and social services across our area:
YMCA of Simcoe Muskoka, Junior Achievement #824, Askennonia Seniors Centre, the Elmvale and District Food Bank, The Guesthouse, Home Horizon Georgian Triangle, Hospice Huronia Tomkins House, Wendat Community Support Programs and Sistema Huronia Music Academy.
