Suzanne McCrimmon - EDCNS Executive DirectorMidland/May 27, 2022 – Ted Salisbury, Chair and the Board of EDCNS are pleased to welcome Suzanne McCrimmon as the new Executive Director, effective June 13, 2022.

Suzanne is an Economic Development professional with twenty plus years’ expertise in building community prosperity. Particular to unique regions with qualities capable of offering both lifestyle and business opportunities to investors, Suzanne has created and delivered dynamic economic development programs from Squamish, BC to rural Cambodia using a tactical approach to harness emerging technologies, marketing trends, and cutting-edge opportunities for sustainable economic growth.

Suzanne comes to North Simcoe from Peterborough & the Kawarthas Economic Development where she was the Director of Business Development managing a corporate team to collaboratively lead attraction efforts and successfully recruit new and outside investment for the region.

Previously, Suzanne was the Executive Director for the Squamish Chamber of Commerce, and the Manager of Community Economic Development for Golden Area Initiatives – Town of Golden. She sits as Director on the Workforce Development Board, Ontario East Economic Development Corporation and Small Business Centres Ontario. Suzanne also led one of 13 National First Nation Municipal Economic Initiatives (CEDI) to improve the economic prosperity of participating First Nations and adjacent municipalities through joint community development and planning initiatives.

Her credentials include CITP/FIBP Certification (Certified International Trade Professional) from Ryerson University, Marketing Management Honors Diploma from Algonquin College, the Executive Development Program from the Schulich School of Business, and the Business Retention & Expansion (BRE) International Certification.

Suzanne is thrilled to relocate to beautiful North Simcoe to join the efforts of EDCNS and the people it serves to present North Simcoe as a premiere destination of choice for investment and help strengthen the current business community in collaboration with all levels of government to achieve their goals.

The Economic Development Corporation of North Simcoe is a non-profit organization incorporated by the Town of Midland, the Town of Penetanguishene, the Township of Tay and the Township of Tiny for the purpose of collaboratively promoting the economic health and prosperity of North Simcoe. This unique alliance creates synergies and outcomes that support the four core pillars of the organization: Manufacturing, Agriculture, Healthcare, and Tourism.
