On October 6, 2021, the County of Simcoe and area partners are hosting another Ask an Expert webinar session to support businesses and organizations with the roll out of vaccination certificates and workplace policies.
A reminder that as of September 22, 2021, Ontario residents who are 12 and older need to show proof of vaccination or proof of a legitimate medical exemption when accessing certain indoor public settings. The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit has also issued requirements for businesses to develop and implement vaccination policies in their work settings. Businesses and organizational leaders are encouraged to attend this free session to gain insights and support from industry experts on these important public health requirements.

About the Expert Presenters
Deborah Joslin is CEO President-ess of Next Gen Hub Inc. Safety Training and Consulting Services Ltd. She is an entrepreneur, HR & Safety Specialist, Business Developer & Coach. Deborah will be providing information and templates for addressing HR and Safety Compliance that employers and managers are currently faced with regarding employee vaccinations in the workplace.
Pamela Patry, HBOR, is a Workplace Safety and Prevention Services – Acting Pandemic Program Lead in Field Operations. Pamela will provide information on the Layering approach of controls in the workplace (new PPE guidance), the newly released Safety Plan Builder and Violence & Harassment Resources.
Kevin Shelley is a Regional Program Coordinator for the Newmarket office of the Ministry of Labour, Trades and Skills Development (MLTSD), covering York Region, and Simcoe County. Kevin will be talking about the MLTSD position on an employer creating vaccination policies and employers having to review proof of vaccination status in those select businesses.
