Call for #ITSTARTS Ambassadors!

#ITSTARTS is a public awareness campaign in March designed to reduce racism and discrimination in Simcoe County. The campaign encourages community members to share educational information through social media and in public spaces. The County of Simcoe is looking for ambassadors to help implement the movement!

What is an #ITSTARTS Campaign Ambassador?

Ambassadors help raise campaign awareness and increase participation in their organization. You would attend a free 2-hour ambassador information session in February to learn about:

  • #ITSTARTS Campaign History
  • Logistics of implementing the 2022 campaign
  • An overview of identity, connections to the Ontario Human Rights Code
  • Discussion on how racism and other forms of discrimination impact people and organizations

Please click here to register for the information session. Ambassadors are required to post about #ITSTARTS on social media at least once throughout the month of March and promote it within your own business through events and/or marketing.

What are the benefits of participating as an Ambassador?

This is an opportunity to be a leader in promoting the importance of diversity in companies and in our communities. The campaign is also a great opportunity to harness the power of social media platforms and network with organizations across the region.
