A unique business that promotes a healthy lifestyle and healthy food options has opened up at 227 and 229 King St. in downtown Midland.

Mega Mindful Living, a fitness studio, inhabits one half of the business, while Newfies Soups and Smoothies, a plant-based café, occupies the other.

“We want to promote lifestyle medicine,” said owner Janice Marchildon. “Eat well and exercise.”

Marchildon, who runs the business with her daughter Megan, initially envisioned the space with just a studio. She wanted to offer a variety of fitness classes and lifestyle coaching.[]
