Go to the shed and dig out the DeLorean — because it’s time for local farmers to travel to the future if they want to survive. And the future is now.

The coronavirus pandemic has largely halted face-to-face distribution of food, so farmers are forced to come up with sales alternatives.

Dennis and Kim Dubeau have operated the Dubeau Family Farm stand on County Road 6 in Tiny Township since 2000. It was a cash-only business for 19 years. Now they’re taking the business online. “We are changing with the times. It’s only because of my sons Aaron and Jason. They are into technology,” said Dennis. “I never wanted to change, but, with what’s going on, it’s forcing us to change. It was hard on me to not do cash anymore.” []
