EDCNS providing funding to local manufacturers during COVID-19 pandemic

The Economic Development Corporation of North Simcoe (EDCNS) has shifted its resources to help local manufacturers weather the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“We have put a grant in place to assist small and medium-sized businesses with up to $10,000,” said Roy Ellis, an EDCNS manufacturing ambassador.

According to Ellis, EDCNS has a total of $30,000 available to help local manufacturers retain workers, hire new workers or shift production in order to respond to the call from the health-care industry for more personal protective equipment. []
