The Township of Tay has named their next chief administrative officer.

Lindsay Barron, who worked as a financial analyst with the Township since 2012, has been promoted to CAO and will take over the position effective March 2.

Barron’s appointment ends an extensive two-month long search, which commenced in November when then-CAO Robert Lamb resigned.

Lamb left for a position with the Township of Brock. He served as Tay Township CAO for six years.

Barron will become Tay’s fourth CAO since municipal reorganization in 1994.

“Her analytical and strategic approach to operations, along with her solid problem-solving skills will enable her to enact council’s vision for a modern service oriented municipality that delivers the right services at the right time for the right reasons,” said Mayor Ted Walker. []
