An 85,000-square-foot commercial plaza, which will consist of a medical building, professional office space, retail space, restaurants and a daycare, is being built on seven acres of land at 710 Balm Beach Rd. E. in Midland.

The development, which will be named the Midland Town Centre, will offer individuals and companies the opportunity to lease or buy space within the complex.

Coland Development Corporation broke ground on the project in late 2019, when crews started excavating the site just down the road from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore.

“The Town of Midland should be excited about our upcoming development. We have had research done by top research agencies to master-plan this new development for the benefit of the local citizens and tourists,” said Coland co-owner David Colagiacomo. “I always had a vision to make Midland a better place to live, work and enjoy life.”

The complex will feature the following: a two-storey, 20,000-square-foot medical building; a two-storey, 30,000-square-foot []
